Jockey Jorge Ricardo, world record holder with 13,164 victories, starred in one of the most beautiful races of the UAE President Cup South America Mondial at the Cidade Jardim Racecourse, Jockey Club de São Paulo.

Aboard Hallmarck Rach (Bismarck Rach x Havella Rach by Pavel Rach), Ricardo won the UAE President Cup Series for Maiden Horses – Mondial Brazil, on Saturday, March 12.

Nine animals lined up for the 1,200 meters on dirt race for products for 3-year-old and older and with an excellent start the duo Ricardo and Hallmarck Rach opened five lengths in the first meters ahead of the others.

As the race progresses, Jorge Ricardo maintains the lead and leaves the dispute for second place between Tábita Rach (Feitizzo Rach x Fascinacion by *Adventure Aladin) led by lady jockey Jeane Alves, advancing on the outside, and Flicka AJR (Feitizzo Rach x Fascinacion by *Adventure Aladin) with jockey Osmar Pereira Filho.

Hallmarck Rach went around the corner with ease and on the final straight he only increased the gap with his opponents and crossed the finish line with 20 ½ lengths of advantage. A beautiful show presented by Jorge Ricardo; who showed all his potential and knowledge in Arabian horse racing.

Bred and owned by Almir José Ribeiro, Flicka AJR is the second place followed by Tábita Rach with the colors of Diogo de Oliveira Machado, bred by Rach Stud Agropecuária Ltda.

Jorge Ricardo said: “Hallmarck Rach had an excellent race and won easily. He started very well and with a lot of desire to win and I had no trouble getting him to run. He is a horse with the potential to race longer distances and he will definitely be a great champion.”

Owner Rodrigo Schulze stated: “With the change of track from turf to dirt, due to the heavy rain that fell on Friday night, we were convinced of a good race by Hallmarck Rach, however, we did not imagine it would be so fantastic. And we were fortunate enough to have it assembled by Jorge Ricardo, who needs no comment.”

“Hallmarck Rach won easily from start to finish and for being a foal that in his second race won with more than 20 lengths of advantage showed that he will be a very competitive horse and a future champion. Hallmarck Rach is the grandson of *Sarmata (Pepton x Sarmacja by Gil), racing champion in Poland, and son of Bismarck Rach and Havella Rach, horses that compete in 120 km Equestrian Endurance events, that is, an animal from our breeding program that prioritize the Arabian sport horse”, said Paulo Jamil Saliba, owner of Rach Stud Agropecuária.

Almir José Ribeiro, Racing Director at Brazilian Arabian Horse Breeders Association (ABCCA) said: “It was a brilliant race in which Hallmarck Rach won with exuberance and in the impeccable driving of Jorge Ricardo. It was a year-long avant première that will be filled with races with new records and promises a lot of excitement and success.”

Without our sponsors it would not be possible to make exciting races like the one we have had. I want to thank HH Sh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and HE Faisal Al Rahmani, President of the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing (IFAHR) and Director General of the UAE President Cup, who make it possible to hold the second season of the UAE President Cup Series – Mondial South America Brazil 2022.”
