Determining the age of a horse is not always easy, but it can be done!

Horses are just like us in many ways. They go through different stages of life, getting older and (hopefully!) wiser. But how do you figure out the age of a horse? If you have their records, it may be as easy as looking up a date. But what if you don’t?

The easiest way to figure out a horse’s age is to check their records, but even if you can’t find any, it’s still possible to estimate.

Most horses have papers or records that you can use to figure out their exact age. These papers might be breed, vet, or even registration records. You may have to do some digging to find them, but they’re typically available. But if you can’t find any records, things get a bit more complicated. You may have to check different parts of your horse’s body for evidence of their age, such as their teeth.

Sometimes, you’ll be able to make a fairly accurate estimate. Other times, this just won’t be possible. You may be able to get a range of a few years, and that should be enough for most purposes
