About the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club:

Established in 1976, from the visionary dream of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club (ADEC) swiftly emerged as a dynamic force in Arabian horsemanship. Initially envisioned as a sanctuary for the majestic creatures, it soon evolved into a premier venue for exclusive and significant events. ADEC’s vibrant racetrack opened to the public in 1980, and transformative renovations in 1994, including a cutting-edge turf track and night race floodlights, solidifying ADEC’s status as a symbol of athleticism forever tied to the forward-thinking legacy of Sheikh Zayed.

Guided by His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and the President of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, ADEC’s grandstand underwent remarkable expansion, featuring an enriched seating area, opulent lounges, dedicated prayer rooms, twelve custom corporate suites, and a private VIP majlis ensuring top-notch service throughout the season.

ADEC’s upgrades encompass cutting-edge facilities including air-conditioned stables, equine swimming pools, and a large grandstand with a 5,000-guest capacity. The complex, spanning 200 acres, incorporates a championship turf racetrack, specialized training tracks, equestrian arenas, stables, a riding school, a veterinary clinic, and a 9-hole golf course. The season, from November to April, is marked by a vibrant calendar of equestrian events drawing international spectators and fostering community spirit.

Deeply rooted in the equestrian community, ADEC stands as a respected stage for national and international competitions, showcasing diverse talents from show jumping to dressage. Highlights include the Group 1 International Jewel Crown, the Presidents Cup, the CSI4* World Cup Qualifier, and the 5* Nations Cup, solidifying ADEC’s position as a leading player in the global equestrian arena.
