Prominent Dubai-based real estate and lifestyle developer Azizi are to sponsor the entire Dubai Racing Carnival meeting on Friday, February 7, when an eight-race card takes place at the iconic Meydan Racecourse.
Azizi, established in 2007, has delivered thousands of properties across several important locations in Dubai, including Dubai Healthcare City, The Palm Jumeirah, Downtown Dubai, Studio City and Sports City. It currently has more than 130 projects which are scheduled to be delivered by the end of this year.
Friday’s card features five turf races, including the featured AED350,000 Lord Glitters Handicap, won last year by the British-trained Ouzo. It is supported by the AED300,000 Vazirabad Handicap, over 2410metres on turf, which was won in 2024 by Godolphin’s Ruling Dynasty. The other main supporting race is the AED350,000 Dubai Trophy, for three-year-olds, on the straight turf track.
Mr. Farhad Azizi, Group CEO of the Azizi group of companies, commented: “It is with the utmost delight that we sponsor the Dubai Racing Carnival for our now eighth consecutive year. Our close partnership with the Dubai Racing Club underpins our support of an exciting sport that is rooted so profoundly in the UAE’s outstandingly rich culture and heritage and is perfectly aligned with our pursuit of bringing communities together and enriching lives.
“This important partnership also allows us to contribute towards cementing Dubai’s standing not only as the ultimate, absolute best city to live, visit and work in, but also as the ideal host to such monumental global gatherings.”
Hi Excellency Ali Al Ali, CEO and Board Member, Dubai Racing Club, welcomed the support from Azizi, saying: “we look forward to welcoming our friends at Azizi back to Meydan Racecourse on Friday for an extremely important evening of racing, featuring the Lord Glitters Handicap and plenty of exciting racing on both turf and dirt tracks.
“Azizi have been highly valued partners with Dubai Racing Club for several seasons, also sponsoring the G1 Azizi Developments Al Quoz Sprint at the Dubai World Cup meeting. We thank them once again for their support and wish their team and guests an enjoyable evening of racing.”
