A dazzling conclusion to the Doha leg, with Dubai Stud shining with a golden hat trick
After four eventful days where heritage blended seamlessly with modernity, the second leg of the Arabian Horse Tour concluded in Doha, the Qatari capital, as part of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival. The event featured nearly two hundred horses and was held in a sophisticated and festive atmosphere, where the majesty of the horses met the warmth of hospitality. Visitors enjoyed diverse artistic performances and a comprehensive cultural experience within the Cultural Village, creating an exceptional event that combined sport, heritage, and art in a unified spectacle.
A Dazzling Finale
The beauty pageants concluded with a dazzling closing ceremony, featuring a spectacular fireworks display and a drone show that illuminated the Doha sky, its lights reflected on the shimmering waters of the Arabian Gulf in a breathtaking visual spectacle. The final day also saw six highly competitive championships, where titles were awarded to horses that captivated audiences with their outstanding presence and performances. A total of 1,050,000 Qatari Riyals was distributed among the winners across the various categories.
“Shalwa” Takes the Lead Among Yearlings
In the yearling filly and colt championships, “Shalwa” Al Adwan, owned by Al Jameel Stud from Qatar, delivered a confident performance, securing the gold medal. “Malikat Al Arab,” representing Halitan Stud from Qatar, won the silver, while “Afkham Dalal,” owned by Mr. Turki Al Hajri from Kuwait, took the bronze.
“D Yaman” Wins Colts of the Year Title
In the colts category, “D Yaman,” owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud from the United Arab Emirates, stole the show, winning gold. “Dinar Al Shaqab,” owned by Al Shaqab Stud from Qatar, took silver, while the bronze went to “A.S. Ghanem,” owned by Amara Arabian Horse Stables from the United Arab Emirates.
“D Ru’a” Shines in the Fillies Category
In the Junior Fillies and Colts Championships, the filly “D Ru’a,” owned by Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, shone in the fillies category, winning gold after an exceptional performance. “Expectations Al Wajba,” owned by Al Wajba Stud from Qatar, took silver, while “A.J. Sajil,” owned by Ajman Stud, won bronze.
