Dubai Arabian Horse Stud achieved a brilliant feat last night at the conclusion of the Dubai Arabian Horse Championship, marking the end of a successful and golden season during which the stud reaffirmed its leading position as the best stud both locally and internationally. As with previous championships, characterized by fierce competition and reflecting the tremendous development in the Arabian horse industry in terms of production volume, quality, demand, and the expanding base of new owners, the Dubai Arabian Horse Championship witnessed an even more intense competition among a number of prestigious international studs, most notably those from the UAE, Qatar, Palestine, Switzerland, and others.

Dubai Arabian Horse Stud secured four titles: two gold and two silver. The Dubai champions were three sons of the iconic contemporary global breeder, the stallion FA El Rasheem, and one was a son of the reigning world champion, D Seraj. The colt D Burkan, sired by the mare D Ajaib, and the stallion D Siraj, sired by the mare Lady Veronica, were crowned by His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs. Two silver medals were also awarded: one to the filly D Niran, sired by the mare Elie Jahara, and the other to the mare D Shehana, sired by the mare D Shahla. This latest achievement for Dubai Stud follows a series of major gold and record-breaking victories at various events throughout the season, both locally and internationally.
The stallion D Siraj is considered one of the most decorated stallions in the history of the World Championships, having won three titles at the Paris World Championships and one at the Doha World Championships, in addition to numerous gold medals at many prestigious international championships in Europe and the Middle East. D Siraj is one of the world’s most prolific and high-quality stallions. D Siraj’s last achievement before the Dubai Championship was winning the first leg of the 2026 Abu Dhabi Arabian Horse Tour.

The colt D Burkan, sired by the world-renowned mare D Ajaib, is considered an icon of the new and promising global breeding program. His exceptional qualities confirm his status as a world champion, having won numerous gold medals and dominated the international scene with unparalleled skill. His most recent achievement was winning the World Championship and Supreme title of the 2026 Arabian Horse Tour in Qatar. Experts in Arabian horse beauty assert that D Burkan will be the champion of the upcoming World Championship and all international competitions he will participate in for many years to come, before entering the breeding market and ushering in a new global era, a phenomenon known as the D Burkan phenomenon.
As for the world-renowned mare D Shehana, she is a prominent figure among the most beautiful mares in the world. She embodies the breeding prowess of the iconic FAL Rasheem and represents the finest continuation of her dam, the world champion mare D Shahla. D Shehana boasts numerous local and international titles, making her one of the most accomplished and successful mares in the world. While the filly De Niran is considered one of the most beautiful fillies produced by Dubai Stud, she has carved out a path of renewed and promising glory for herself.

Al-Tawhidi: A Special Place
Engineer Mohammed Al-Tawhidi, General Supervisor and General Manager of Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, expressed his delight at the stud’s achievement in the Dubai International Championship, praising the organizational level, the caliber of the participating horses, and the overall atmosphere befitting equestrian events held in Dubai.
Al-Tawhidi said: “The Dubai International Championship holds a special place in our hearts because it is the home of our stud, the space where our horses were born, grew, and developed, and where they stand proudly at the pinnacles of international championships. The results are excellent, and our champions are world-class, representing the elite of the new era in the development of Arabian horses. This is a good end to the season, and we are on the cusp of the international season, determined to maintain the golden level that our locally bred horses enjoy globally. This glory, which Dubai Stud’s horses have achieved and continue to achieve, is a natural result of the noble and generous vision upon which Dubai Stud was founded, dedicated to serving Arabian horses.” Al Marzouqi: Continued Joy
Abdulaziz Al Marzouqi, Executive Director of Dubai Arabian Horse Stud, expressed his delight at the results achieved by the stud’s champion horses, deeming them excellent and in line with the expectations set by the stud’s management for a world championship bearing Dubai’s distinguished name.
Al Marzouqi said: “The world champion horses, D Burkan, D Siraj, D Shehana, and D Niran, deserve to be at the top in their home country, boasting a distinguished record both locally and internationally. They were at their best in their own arena, amidst a constellation of outstanding international horses, and were able to achieve new milestones that adorn their records. Our joy continues with these major achievements. This joy was renewed just 24 hours after the gold medals we achieved at the Muscat leg of the 2026 Arabian Horse Tour. We look forward to more achievements during the upcoming international season.”
