Last season’s UAE Derby hero Plus Due Parfait among seven-strong field contesting in The Entisar

The Dubai Racing Club (RC) is all set to mark the UAE’s Golden Jubilee on Thursday, December 2, by hosting a bumper seven-race card at Meydan Racecourse.

The evening’s action is headlined by The Entisar, a Listed 2,000 metre dirt contest that is run over the Dubai World Cup (G1) course & distance, with the winner potentially progressing to challenge for all the seasons big races.

Military Law won this in 2019 and went on to compete in the Al Maktoum Challenge series and the $12million Saudi Cup where he finished 6th behind Mishriff.

A stellar field of seven including 2019 UAE Derby (G2) hero Plus Due Parfait go to post in The Entisar which will be run at 9 pm (UAE time).

Doug Watson, who has made a flying start to the season posting 13 wins, is hopeful that Plus Due Parfait will run a big race in his first start for the champion handler.

“He’s been doing great.,” said the American who trains out of the Red Stables in the heart of Dubai.

“He’s had a run at the track and is one in one there and we are looking forward to him running well.”

However, Plus Due Parfait, who also contested the 2019 Kentucky Derby (G1) where he finished a competitive 8th, will be having his first start in over 12 months and may need the outing.
