EQUITANA 2027: Show ticket sales open – a premiere for equine health

Powerful emotions and knowledge about equine health: Event organiser RX gives further insights into the show programme of EQUITANA 2027. Tickets for the shows are on sale from 15 October.

Striking images, exceptional horses and plenty of emotion, but also knowledge that helps horse owners in their everyday lives: with the start of show ticket sales, EQUITANA is now offering further insights into its 2027 programme. From Friday to Sunday, the HOP TOP Show “Anything for Love” tells the story of love in all its facets. New to the programme is the EQUITANA Horse Health Night presented by Haygain and Hestevard, which brings equine health to the stage on Tuesday evening in a format that is as informative as it is entertaining.

HOP TOP Show “Anything for Love”: Love and its many facets

From Friday to Sunday, the big show hall belongs to the HOP TOP Show, starting at 7.30 p.m. each evening. With the title “Anything for Love”, it combines horses, sport and staging into a story about love. The HOP TOP Show aims to reach people with very different approaches to the horse – from families to visitors with a keen interest in sport or breeding. “In the end, one thing connects us all: We do this for the of love of our horses,” says Sarah Lepsky, Event Director of EQUITANA.

Premiere for the EQUITANA Horse Health Night

What do coughing, a drop in performance or changes in behaviour reveal about a horse’s health? And what can horse owners do before the first signs turn into a bigger problem? These and other questions are the focus of the first EQUITANA Horse Health Night presented by Haygain and Hestevard, taking place on Tuesday evening (23 March) from 6.30 p.m. in the show hall.

The new education and entertainment format puts the spotlight on two topics that concern many horse owners: respiratory and gastric conditions. Together with renowned experts, the evening explains typical symptoms and how to interpret them, and also shows what can be done preventively and in dealing with a condition.

“At EQUITANA, health and prevention should not only be explained in theory, but be something visitors can experience,” says Sarah Lepsky. “Our aim is to present knowledge in a way that creates real added value for horses and the people around them.”

The evening is hosted by presenter Christian Kröber. He is joined by Dr Katja Shell, Conny Röhm and Kathrin Obst. Alongside veterinary expertise, the programme includes insights into gastroscopy and bronchoscopy as well as questions of feeding, husbandry, exercise and physiotherapeutic support – in other words, the complete health management of a horse. All of it hands-on and easy to understand. For visitors, it will be an evening full of ideas for their everyday life with the horse.

From the stage programme to personal exchange

The EQUITANA Horse Health Night does not end with the stage programme: from around 8.30 p.m., the health evening continues in the Showhalle Nord with an expert meet-up. Until 10 p.m., visitors have the opportunity to ask their individual questions at the get-together and to talk to the specialists in person.

Doors for the Horse Health Night open at 6 p.m.; the stage programme starts at 6.30 p.m. in the show hall and ends at around 8.30 p.m. Grandstand tickets cost 20 euros, with unreserved seating.

Breeding and networking on Monday evening

Horse breeding already takes centre stage in the show hall on Monday (22 March). From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., EQUITANA hosts its Breeders’ Evening. The programme is open to all visitors free of charge.

From 8 p.m., a networking evening for trade visitors and exhibitors follows. The focus here is on personal exchange and therefore on an idea that Sarah Lepsky has already set out clearly with a view to EQUITANA 2027: connecting people more strongly with one another and making visible what is being created within the industry.
