One of the most important things you can do for your horse is to recognize when it’s sick. When you know what to look for, it’s not hard to tell when your horse needs help.
If your horse shows any signs of pain or discomfort, including reluctance to move, pawing at the ground, rolling, increased rate of respiration and sweating. reluctance to stand or inability to stand. any sign of injury or lameness, including puncture wounds.
Sometimes it’s hard to tell when your horse is sick. If you’re worried about your horse, there are some common signs of illness that you can look out for.
If your horse is sick, you might see:
-any signs of pain or discomfort, including reluctance to move, pawing at the ground, rolling, increased rate of respiration and sweating.
-reluctance to stand or inability to stand.
-any sign of injury or lameness, including puncture wounds.
If you see any of the above signs in your horse, it’s time to call the vet.
