Yas Racing horses steal the spotlight in the Al Wathba Cup in France

Yas Horse Racing Management, owned by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Cabinet, strengthened its strong presence at the Lanjon-Libourne Racecourse in France, by winning first and second place in the Al Wathba Stallions Cup – Baron Casquet Arabian Horse Race. Thoroughbreds aged 4 years and above, for a distance of 1800 metres, with a total prize money of 12 thousand euros, which was held on Sunday 06/09/2024, under the sponsorship of the 16th edition of the His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival.

The festival is held with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Cabinet, with the aim of encouraging owners and breeders to raise and acquire purebred Arabian horses, which enjoy a broad base and great interest in Europe.
The Yas horses stole the show through the filly “Alia”, daughter of “Mohab” under the supervision of Guy Lemaire and driven by Antoine Wehrle, by reaching the finish line first, with a difference of 1.5 lengths, and a time of 1:55:82 minutes, while second place went to her stablemate. Ghassan, led by Sammy Lee, and supervised by Damien Vatrigant, while third place came to the colt, “Casso Huipolet,” owned and trained by Si Cheno, and driven by Vincent Chenette.
